Costs vary depending on whether you use FCL or LCL, the route, container space, weight or volume, and additional charges such as fuel surcharges, terminal handling, duties, taxes and insurance.
Sea freight time depends on origin, destination, route and whether the sailing is direct. It can take anything from a few days to several weeks, so it is best for freight that is not urgent or time-sensitive.
Jenkar clients can use WebTrack to follow the progress of their shipment in real time, including cargo location, documents, invoices and key milestones.
Goods are packed into containers or prepared as specialist cargo, moved to the origin port, loaded onto a vessel, processed through customs at arrival and then transported onward to the final destination.
Cargo ships can carry large quantities over long distances with strong fuel efficiency, making the cost per unit lower than faster modes such as air freight.
