Port Strike At Liverpool Confirmed

Dock workers at Liverpool are now set to strike later this month, as the Unite Union announces a two week walk out between Monday 19th September and October 3rd.

The Unite union were also responsible for the recent strike at Felixstowe, and after balloting its Liverpool members, recently announced a vote for strike action.

The port say they have put forward an offer of an 8.3% increase, also advising they have increased the basic pay for workers by 42% in the past ten years.

We are hopeful that talks will continue in an attempt to avert the upcoming strike, but at this point it seems set to go ahead.
