Happy Bank Holiday Weekend

News

It’s another bank holiday weekend for most of us, with the UK midway through a run of five public holiday days in just seven weeks.

Following the traditional Easter bank holidays of Good Friday and Easter Monday, this coming Monday is creatively now called the ‘Early May Bank Holiday’, being changed from ‘May Day’ in 1978.

As things stand, the British weather isn’t looking too good, but that could easily change. Either way, we hope that those of you benefitting from this bank holiday get to make the most of it.

In a little over four weeks time, the UK public are rewarded with a bonus holiday day to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – the first British monarch to reign for seventy years.

Therefore, Spring Bank Holiday has been moved to Thursday June 2nd, which is immediately followed by Platinum Jubilee Day on Friday 3rd June, giving us another well earned four day weekend break.
