Rail Strike To Impact UK Transport

Rail workers are preparing to strike again this week, with as many as 40,000 disgruntled staff due to join the action planned for Wednesday 27th July 2022.

Rail transport will clearly be affected, and the lack of train journeys will also create additional pressure for road transport services from late Tuesday through to Thursday. 

Container transport is one of the sectors that is expected to be most affected and this strike won’t help struggling congested ports, with rail containers unable to depart.

We expect there to be additional traffic on the roads during Wednesday, which could also result in unexpected delays on the day of the strike.
